Nude has always been present in the history of figurative painting, however Modigliani’s nudes were considered scandalous. The particular style of Amedeo Modigliani is a reworking of the conventional nude model that expresses a more intimate reality. Amedeo Modigliani is one of Magaly’s favourite artists: nonconformist and solitary, sensitive, elegant and controversial. This painting is a respectful tribute to his “Nudo seduto” (1916).
